A short video about SCRIP

What is the SCRIP Program?

Essentially, it is FREE MONEY for our parish and school. The concept is simple. We purchase gift cards (SCRIP) from popular retailers, grocers, and restaurants at a discount of their face value. We then sell those cards at face value, leaving behind a small chunk of profit for the church and school.

How Can I Participate?

There are many ways to purchase Scrip:

  1. Direct Purchase
    See the Direct Purchase Form for a list of cards we continually keep on-hand. Our volunteers typically sell on the following days/times:
    1. Tuesday-Thursday after school (2:45-3:15p) in the parish office;
    2. Wednesday-Friday before school (7:30-8a) in school lobby; and
    3. Saturdays and Sundays after most masses in the back of church.

  2. Instant Download
    You can sign up to instantly download scrip through the website www.shopwithscrip.com. Simply link your checking account to pay for the scrip and print your certificate within minutes. It’s then ready to use – just present it to the retailer. This is great for last-minute shopping needs or for cards that are not readily available through Direct Purchase.

  3. Myscripwallet.com
    The newest way to buy and use scrip is via www.myscripwallet.com. This method allows you to instantly pay as above, but you can view your scrip certificate via your phone.  Show it to the cashier and your purchase will be automatically deducted. You will still have the balance in your “Scripwallet” for later use. You literally have your electronic wallet of your favorite scrip e-certificates stored in your phone!

What About eScrip at Schnucks?

We also honor www.escrip.com. Rather than selling gift cards to us directly, this is the Scrip system that Schnucks and various local merchants use. For Schnucks, ask for an eScrip Community Card at the courtesy counter. When you register your card online, link it to St. Charles Borromeo using our program code: 6610935.
